How can I start PrEP?

Talk to your health care provider if you think PrEP may be right for you. PrEP can be prescribed only by a health care provider.

Before beginning PrEP, you must test negative for HIV.

While taking PrEP, you’ll have to consult with an Open Arms Healthcare Center Care team every 12 weeks for

     - follow-up visits,

     - HIV/STI screening and Kidney panel, and

     - prescription refills.

Ask Open Arms about self-testing and TelePrEP services.

Can I start PrEP or continue taking PrEP without in-person visits to a provider?

Yes! With a TelePrEP appointment, you can receive a phone or video consultation with an Open Arms healthcare provider and a mail-in

self-testing kit.  Start your TelePrEP appointment today!
